Apprenticeships – Information for Employers

For employers, taking on an apprentice would give your company access to a whole host of well trained and highly motivated individuals that can bring some fresh approaches (and innovative ideas) into your workplace.

Take on an Apprentice

Apprenticeships provide a key route into the construction industry and play a vital role in ensuring our economy recovers. Now is the time to play your part and take on an apprentice to ensure there isn’t a skills gap in our future workforce. The Government have announced additional benefits for businesses taking on new apprentices.

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

The Institute is an employer-led organisation. Their vision is for a world-leading apprenticeships and technical education system, that equips people from all backgrounds for skilled occupations contributing to increased economic productivity.

A key element of their work is supporting employer groups in the development of the apprenticeships. They maintain the occupational maps which underpin all technical education. They develop, approve, review and revise apprenticeships and technical qualifications with employers. This includes responsibility for T Levels delivery and for implementing an approval process for higher technical qualifications.
